Tired of painting on paper that buckles?
We’ve all been there - you’re painting a large section of paper, and suddenly the paper starts to buckle. Colour is pooling where it shouldn’t be and you can’t paint the lines and detail you wanted.
Even worse, buckled paper is hard, if not impossible to fix.
When painting on larger paper, or creating a painting with multiple washes, it can be handy to stretch your watercolour paper first to ensure a consistent, flat working surface.
Maybe you are new to stretching or want some tips to get it right every time. I’ve created a video of my tried-and-true process.
In this 10-minute tutorial I walk you through the supplies you need and break the process down into clear easy steps. This will be a great resource for you to refer back to as you continue to stretch paper.
